Our aim is to help people to ‘live well’ – to live happy, wise and meaningful lives within the pressure and complexity of the modern world. We provide people with ideas, information and tools to help them get more out of life, see things more clearly and live with greater wisdom.
We do this by offering a range of different things - including publications, courses, a knowledge base and consultancy. Have a browse around our website to find out more. Click here to listen to an audio introduction to our work.
Topic areas
As our work covers the broad topic of how to live a happy and enlightened life, it crosses over a large range of topics. We’ve broken these down into 4 categories:
2. Understanding the world – we also feel it’s important for people to gain perspective about some basic aspects of their history and existence - from our place in the universe to how much we earn in relation to others. We aim to provide this information in a meaningful and accessible way.
3. Thinking skills – each of us needs a range of skills to deal with the complexity and pressures of the modern world, but we aren't taught many of them as well as we could be - from critical thinking to the art of living well. We aim to help people to understand and develop these skills.
4. How to live well – much of our work focuses on how to live a more enlightened life – one with greater well-being, happiness, meaning and one in which you understand and live in line with your values. Our work in this area is a mixture of guidance on the art of living and practical ideas and signposting on how to make the most of your life and how to live in a way that’s consistent with your values.
